Calvin Waddy Jr. is from Detroit, Michigan. Working as a designer by day, he developed an interest in mixing and through the process of learning to mix began to understand how to create the beats and rhythms that are consistently on his mind.
The understanding of how beats can be layered on the decks led to a natural progression to wanting to create his own music in the studio. His productions are diverse, but beats-oriented, ranging from Techno to Chill-out and Drum and Bass.
We’ve been impressed with his clear talent and obvious creative streak, and we think you will enjoy his release “Control Points” on Public Records. Detroit is in the house!
